One of the most experienced actors of film world Om Puri has passed away on Friday morning i.e. 6th January 2017. The shocking death of the most acclaimed Bollywood star caused by a massive heart attack early on Friday morning.
He returned to his home from a film shoot on Thursday night. But on the Friday morning when the door bell didn’t answer then the alarm was activated by his keeper.
Om Puri was the most celebrated actor of India and he was 66 years old. The versatile actor debuted in 1976 with an Indian film and from that day he appeared in many movies of India, British and as well in Pakistan. He was well known for his roles in hit movies Gandhi and The Reluctant and he remained successful in entertaining the audience of various niches.
In his career, he received many praising awards including OBE in England and Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian award.
Relation with Pakistan
Om Puri was not only a great actor but also a generous and human loving man. Besides Bollywood, he also worked in Pakistani movie Actor in Law. During his shooting task in Pakistan, he always showed great love towards Pakistani people and actors and he always talked about peace between two countries.
After his success of the movie, he applauded Pakistani audience and showed great interest in further working with Pakistani cinema.

Veteran actor Om Puri’s death left his fans and friends in Bollywood shocked. Tributes for the actor started flowing immediately after the news of demise broke. Amir Khan, Anupam Kher, Mahesh Bhatt, Boman Irani were the first few to take on the twitter.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered his condolence: “The Prime Minister condoles the passing away of actor Om Puri and recalls his long career in theater in films.”
